who we are

Common Farm is a smallholding where Georgie Newbery & her husband, artist Fabrizio Boccha, grow British flowers near Wincanton in Somerset.  Flowers by post, sent from Common Farm is an artisan floristry and flower farming business started in 2010 specialising in sustainably grown, eco flowers, sent by post anywhere in the UK.

Our British flowers by post are eco grown flowers from Common Farm.  We cut the best of our garden every day especially to order. We grow sweet peas, larkspur, dahlias, chrysanthsemums: all sorts of traditional cottage garden flowers as well as cultivating wild flowers for cutting to put in our bouquets.  At Christmas we send out wreaths made from our own stands of different coloured willow, dressed with hedgerow bounty.  We try and include a touch of the wild in all our bouquets, posies and wreaths.

Along with growing amazing flowers on our, we are committed to growing sustainably in order to constantly improve the environment for biodiversity on our  little plot ‘o’ land. Admiring a sun bathing grass snake Fabrizio was once heard to say, ‘You see?  Look after the invertebrates and the rest of the food chain will look after itself.

We send bouquets by post twelve months a year, supply and arrange lush wedding flowers throughout Somerset and the south west and run great workshops ranging from Flower Farming for Beginners to Social Media for Business. We’ve taken our flowers to RHS Chelsea, been featured in Country Living, The English Garden, The Telegraph and are often mentioned in gardening pages ‘to do’ or ‘watch out for’ listings.
