Tulips are a major spring crop at Common Farm Flowers and Georgie has been growing them for cutting for years.
Join her on this special tulip session and she’ll take you through her tulip year: from bed prep, to planting, from over-wintering, to protecting from marauding rabbits and deer, to harvesting in the spring. She’ll talk about curating your choices, growing to naturalise or crop, forcing in a tunnel, and arranging in a vase. She has clever tips and tricks involving tickling with a border fork and increasing stem length for arranging.
This session will inspire and enable and comes with a recording so you can catch up afterwards if you’d like to watch again, or if you can’t make the session live.
Lasting around two hours, the workshop has space for just 15 participants and costs £95 per person, which includes a link to the recorded session and accompanying notes.
Please note:
When booking a workshop place, our website will force you to choose a delivery date. Please choose any random date - we will know what workshop you want to join regardless of the delivery date!
Also note that we will be in touch a few days before the workshop with your joining instructions. If you’ve not received this email 48 hours beforehand please email nicola@commonfarmflowers.com but do please first check your junk / spam items and make sure you are checking the inbox of the email address you used to book your place.
We will send recordings (and notes if applicable) of workshops within 7 days of the session taking place, but usually much sooner than this.
Most of our flowers and foliage are grown on our flower farm in Somerset. During some of the winter months we order flowers from our flower farming friends in other parts of the country. We only ever use British grown flowers. Our flowers are cut from the farm fresh each morning, before being arranged and sent for next day delivery.
Because our flowers are picked fresh each day, each of our bouquets is totally unique. Although we can't guarantee a particular flower or colour scheme in your bouquet please let us know if you have any particular requests and we will do our best to meet them. We promise that your bouquet will be fresh and beautiful.
