Product Details

Join Georgie for a session where she goes through everything you need to know about growing roses for cutting: from curating your choices, to ordering, to bed preparation and planting: from feeding and watering, to managing build-up of pests and disease: and from cutting to conditioning to creating with these most classic of garden cut flowers.

With a small group and plenty of time for questions this is an invaluable session for people wanting to grow roses for pleasure and for cutting, in a traditional garden situation, and for stems to sell.

Georgie will have lots of roses to show you as well as imagery from her rose beds on the farm.

As always, this session comes with notes and a recording which are sent to you afterwards so that you can go over it all, or catch up if you couldn’t join the session live.

The session is around two hours long, including time for questions, and there are just 15 places available. As well as a recording of the session, you will also receive notes to accompany the workshop.

Please note:

When booking a workshop place, our website will force you to choose a delivery date. Please choose any random date - we will know what workshop you want to join regardless of the delivery date!

Also note that we will be in touch a few days before the workshop with your joining instructions. If you’ve not received this email 48 hours beforehand please email nicola@commonfarmflowers.com but do please first check your junk / spam items and make sure you are checking the inbox of the email address you used to book your place.

We will send recordings (and notes if applicable) of workshops within 7 days of the session taking place, but usually much sooner than this.

What can you expect when you order our flowers?

Most of our flowers and foliage are grown on our flower farm in Somerset. During some of the winter months we order flowers from our flower farming friends in other parts of the country. We only ever use British grown flowers. Our flowers are cut from the farm fresh each morning, before being arranged and sent for next day delivery.

Because our flowers are picked fresh each day, each of our bouquets is totally unique. Although we can't guarantee a particular flower or colour scheme in your bouquet please let us know if you have any particular requests and we will do our best to meet them. We promise that your bouquet will be fresh and beautiful.
