Join Georgie on this seasonally specific workshop as she prepares a winter wedding, with all British grown flowers which will have been delivered from specialist suppliers she recommends.
Prepping a wedding in winter is different because the material is not the same as that we use in the summer and does need dealing with in a particular way.
All the flowers for our winter weddings are ordered in as we don’t have a cut flower garden in production in winter. They arrive dry in boxes and need conditioning carefully along with seasonal foliage cut from the garden.
We’ll be looking at timings, quantities, as well as making a bride’s bouquet, a bridesmaid posy and the first of the buttonholes, while keeping plenty of material to one side for a gorgeous wintry tablescape.
Let’s think about light, colour, ribbon, scheduling, and everything a florist needs to consider when creating a very special day in deep winter.
This roughly two hour session takes place on zoom and will include plenty of time for questions and costs £95 per person. There will be a maximum of fifteen students taking part.
Participants will receive a link to a recording of the session afterwards, as well as notes on all the topics covered in the workshop.
This is a stand alone workshop but we offer a range of other online wedding themed workshops that will help you if you are creating all your own floral arrangements for your wedding, including The Big Urn Arrangement Demo, The Pedestal Vase Demo and The Bridal Party Flowers Workshop.
And if you can make the trip to Somerset, why not consider spending a day at the farm on one or all of our Eco Flower Retreat Days - Day One, Day Two and Day Three.

When booking a workshop place, our website will force you to choose a delivery date. Please choose any random date - we will know what workshop you want to join regardless of the delivery date!
Also note that we will be in touch a few days before the workshop with your joining instructions.
