How do we plan what and how much to cut for a wedding we’re creating? Join Georgie Newbery on this online workshop and find out the answers to these questions and more.
Georgie will go through working out stem counts, creating a time plan, how to cut and when to cut for a Saturday wedding, how long to give the flowers to condition, and how to plan transport and installation. What order should you cut, what are the indispensable tools you’ll need?
This is the perfect session for both people planning to do their own wedding flowers, and farmer florists who are beginning to find a market for their flowers at weddings and events and would like top tips from someone who’s been cutting and designing with their own back yard farmed flowers for ten years.
This workshop will run for around two hours and costs £95 per person with a maximum of fifteen students.
There will be plenty of time for questions, and afterwards you will be sent a link to a recording of the workshop so that you can review bits you may want to focus on again. There will be physical notes sent out too with a list of the top tips we mention throughout the session.
This is a stand alone workshop but links closely with other workshops that will help you if you are creating all your own floral arrangements for your wedding. You might also enjoy some of our other online sessions, for example, The Big Urn Arrangement Demo, The Pedestal Vase Demo and The Bridal Party Flowers Workshop.
And if you can make the trip to Somerset, why not consider spending a day at the farm on one or all of our Eco Flower Retreat Days - Day One, Day Two and Day Three.
