We have a huge dahlia patch here at Common Farm, and dahlias are the big show offs in our bouquets from the end of July right up until November.
Join us on our Growing Dahlias workshop and Georgie will tell you all about how we achieve this. We will spend time out on the dahlia patch, looking at the varieties we grow. We will talk about propagation, storing, bugs and disease, varieties to grow, staking, feeding and the best way to cut and condition for flower arrangements for the house. We will also cut some dahlias and make some arrangements with them!
Come and spend the day with Georgie not just admiring them, but being inspired to make more of your own dahlia enthusiasm. It’ll be a fun day and you’ll take home lots of dahlias along with masses of new information.
There will be a maximum of 10 people on the workshop.
The workshop takes place between 10am-3pm at Common Farm, BA9 8HN.
The cost of the workshop includes all materials you will need to use on the day.
The cost also includes lunch at a local farm shop, so please advise us of any food allergies / intolerances at the time of booking. Please bring any mid morning / afternoon snacks you might like.
