Create With Garden Flowers Retreat

Please note - dates for this workshop have been postponed due to coronavirus.

You love your garden, you love your flowers, you love to forage from the wild and hedgerows. You’d like to know more about making statement, no-floral-foam arrangements with the flowers you grow and cut. This is the day for you.

The objective is to make a great big, floral foam free arrangement, cut fresh by you from Georgie’s flower fields at Common Farm. Bring your own vessel, and Georgie will help you fill it. The point is to learn and have fun – you do not need to be an experienced florist to achieve great things on this day.

You’ll spend the morning foraging from the flower fields, and tree-lined, wild flower paths, at this flower farm famous for its wildflower meadow, its birds and butterflies, and Fabrizio’s eco ethos. Then, after a delicious, locally sourced, veggie lunch, you’ll spend the afternoon making a great, statement piece with the flowers and foliage you gathered in the morning. At the end of a day spent foraging in the garden, and creating with the treasures you have cut, your happy-making endorphin levels will be high, you’ll have learned a great deal about cutting, conditioning, and arranging with your own garden flowers, and you’ll take home a wow-factor floral centrepiece which you can be very proud of, having made it all yourself.

This workshop is held at Common Farm in Charlton Musgrove near Bruton, Somerset and runs from 10am to around 3pm with a break for a light, vegetarian lunch. It is imperative that you let us know well in advance if you have any food allergies or intolerancies for which we must cater. For this workshop you need bring nothing but your enthusiasm, keenness to learn, and a wow factor vessel (which you can fit into your car when it’s full of flowers!) All other materials and tools are provided.

The cost includes lunch and materials and places will be limited to ten people.

What can you expect when you order our flowers?
Most of our flowers and foliage are grown on our flower farm in Somerset. During some of the winter months we order flowers from our flower farming friends in other parts of the country. We only ever use British grown flowers. Our flowers are cut from the farm fresh each morning, before being arranged and sent for next day delivery.
Because our flowers are picked fresh each day, each of our bouquets is totally unique. Although we can't guarantee a particular flower or colour scheme in your bouquet please let us know if you have any particular requests and we will do our best to meet them. We promise that your bouquet will be fresh and beautiful.
