Flower Crown, Buttonhole and Posy Workshop

A fun day at Common Farm Flowers between Bruton and Wincanton in Somerset learning to make three special floral creations: a posy, a flower crown and a button hole.

After a welcome coffee and introduction, spend the morning cutting lots of flowers and foliage from the flower fields here on the flower farm. Then, after a light, vegetarian lunch, spend the afternoon learning to make a flower crown, a posy and a buttonhole.

You need no previous floristry experience for this workshop and it’ll be a great experience for people who just want to learn for the fun of it, or who have a special event coming up for which a flower crown, a buttonhole and a posy might come in very useful. You will leave festooned with flowers, and inspired and enabled to use your own fresh, garden flowers and foliage in exciting and innovative ways.

The skills we teach here at Common Farm are very much eco-floristry: we believe that floristry must be as sustainable as the way we garden, grow flowers, and lightly steward our precious land.

The cost (with places limited to just 10 people) includes all flowers and materials, refreshments and lunch. All our workshops include delicious refreshments so please advise us of any food allergies and intolerances at the time of booking.

What can you expect when you order our flowers?
Most of our flowers and foliage are grown on our flower farm in Somerset. During some of the winter months we order flowers from our flower farming friends in other parts of the country. We only ever use British grown flowers. Our flowers are cut from the farm fresh each morning, before being arranged and sent for next day delivery.
Because our flowers are picked fresh each day, each of our bouquets is totally unique. Although we can't guarantee a particular flower or colour scheme in your bouquet please let us know if you have any particular requests and we will do our best to meet them. We promise that your bouquet will be fresh and beautiful.
