Grow Your Own Cut Flower Patch Workshop

Feed the bees, birds and butterflies, and grow amazing bouquets for yourself and your friends and family to enjoy, after a great day learning about growing a cut flower patch here at Common Farm Flowers between Bruton and Wincanton in Somerset.

Flower farmer Georgie Newbery will show you all the tips and tricks she has for growing a successful cut flower patch.  She’ll advise you on which compost to use, soil management, feeding plants and soil: she’ll help you plan which seeds to sow, which perennials and shrubs work well in cut flowers, and she’ll send you home with a whole garden of seeds which you’ll have sown yourself ready to have a whole summer of flowers in your own garden.

This is a great fun day for which you need nothing more than enthusiasm and a willingness to give flower growing a go.  You’ll be amazed afterwards by your successes, and flower growing will become part of your every gardening year.

The cost is £150 per person including lunch, tea, coffee and lots of cake. All our workshops include delicious refreshments so please advise us of any food allergies and intolerances at the time of booking.

There will be a maximum of 10 people on the workshop.

What can you expect when you order our flowers?
Most of our flowers and foliage are grown on our flower farm in Somerset. During some of the winter months we order flowers from our flower farming friends in other parts of the country. We only ever use British grown flowers. Our flowers are cut from the farm fresh each morning, before being arranged and sent for next day delivery.
Because our flowers are picked fresh each day, each of our bouquets is totally unique. Although we can't guarantee a particular flower or colour scheme in your bouquet please let us know if you have any particular requests and we will do our best to meet them. We promise that your bouquet will be fresh and beautiful.
