Join Georgie at the flower farm for an in depth look at how to design a cut flower patch.
Using the flower fields she and Fabrizio have carved out of the Somerset landscape as inspiration, you can consider layout, bed management, soil management, what to sow and plant, balance in design and consistence in crop.
With a tour of the flower fields at the farm, and a delicious lunch at neighbouring The Kitchen at Kimbers, you will go home inspired and enabled to create a cut flower patch for yourself which can be productive all year long.
There is nothing like walking the farm itself, seeing the beds and the soil, and the growing plants, to give you a real idea of what you could do for yourself. Georgie holds nothing back, and believes that there’s no such thing as a stupid question. Spend the day with her here on the farm and go home inspired.
The workshop takes place between 10am-3pm at Common Farm, BA9 8HN.
The cost includes lunch at a local farm shop, so please advise us of any food allergies / intolerances at the time of booking. Please bring any mid morning / afternoon snacks you might like.
