Take a guided tour of the cut flower patches at Common Farm Flowers near Bruton in Somerset.

Flower farmer Georgie Newbery will introduce you to what we do here at Common Farm, the variety of flowers and foliage we grow, and how we use the 250,000 stems a year we cut in floristry for bouquets and weddings as well as all the workshops we teach here. She’ll then take you on a guided tour of our seven acres of garden, explaining how this flower farmer’s year works in conjunction with creating a haven for wildlife and wildflowers so that our flower farm really does feed the environment as well as the family who live and work on the land.

There are a very limited number of tours in 2023 and these are always extremely popular so please book early to avoid missing out.

Tours are limited to 20 people and will last around two hours, including time for questions and refreshments at the end.

Please note that our garden tours are not suitable for dogs or children.

We do not have masses of parking, so if possible please share cars.

Please wear clothes suitable for the weather (layers, waterproof clothes) and bring shoes / boots that are designed to walk on rough grassy paths. Even on a sunny day, flip flops and sandals aren't advised and we suggest long trousers where possible, due to the risk of ticks. A sun hat and sun protection are also advised, as we can't always stand in the shade.

Make more of a trip of your day by booking lunch at The Roth Bar and visiting the galleries at Hauser and Wirth Somerset and the Piet Rudolph garden there, or head on up to Stourhead to see the famous Capability Brown landscape there. Bruton has lots of lovely places where you can stay and make a real trip of your visit to Common Farm Flowers - see our Local Links page for more information.

Please note:

When booking a garden tour place, our website will force you to choose a delivery date. Please choose any random date - we will know what tour you want to join regardless of the delivery date!

Also note that we will be in touch a few days before the workshop with your joining instructions. If you’ve not received this email 48 hours beforehand please email nicola@commonfarmflowers.com but do please first check your junk / spam items and make sure you are checking the inbox of the email address you used to book your place.

What can you expect when you order our flowers?

Most of our flowers and foliage are grown on our flower farm in Somerset. During some of the winter months we order flowers from our flower farming friends in other parts of the country. We only ever use British grown flowers. Our flowers are cut from the farm fresh each morning, before being arranged and sent for next day delivery.

Because our flowers are picked fresh each day, each of our bouquets is totally unique. Although we can't guarantee a particular flower or colour scheme in your bouquet please let us know if you have any particular requests and we will do our best to meet them. We promise that your bouquet will be fresh and beautiful.
