Flower Farmer Georgie Newbery is on a mission to enable people to create their own event flowers and this online session aims to encourage people to put aside fear of floristry, and make their own wedding flowers.

During this workshop, Georgie will show you how you can create a bridal hand-tie, a posy for a bridesmaid, a buttonhole, and how to wire flowers for a hair do.

There will be a maximum of fifteen people taking part in this online workshop, so plenty of time to ask questions, and the recording of the session, along with notes to match, are sent out to students afterwards. The workshop will last around two hours.

This is a brilliant session if you are keen to release your inner garden florist.

Georgie will use flowers cut that very day from her own garden, material you too can grow or source without too much difficulty.

Come along and be inspired and enabled.

This is a stand alone workshop but links closely with other workshops that will help you if you are creating all your own floral arrangements for your wedding. You might also enjoy some of our other online sessions, for example, The Big Urn Arrangement Demo, The Pedestal Vase Demo and The Prepping Wedding Flowers Workshop.

And if you can make the trip to Somerset, why not consider spending a day at the farm on one or all of our Eco Flower Retreat Days - Day OneDay Two and Day Three

Please note:

When booking a workshop place, our website will force you to choose a delivery date. Please choose any random date - we will know what workshop you want to join regardless of the delivery date!

Also note that we will be in touch a few days before the workshop with your joining instructions. If you’ve not received this email 48 hours beforehand please email nicola@commonfarmflowers.com but do please first check your junk / spam items and make sure you are checking the inbox of the email address you used to book your place.

We will send recordings (and notes if applicable) of workshops within 7 days of the session taking place, but usually much sooner than this.

What can you expect when you order our flowers?

Most of our flowers and foliage are grown on our flower farm in Somerset. During some of the winter months we order flowers from our flower farming friends in other parts of the country. We only ever use British grown flowers. Our flowers are cut from the farm fresh each morning, before being arranged and sent for next day delivery.

Because our flowers are picked fresh each day, each of our bouquets is totally unique. Although we can't guarantee a particular flower or colour scheme in your bouquet please let us know if you have any particular requests and we will do our best to meet them. We promise that your bouquet will be fresh and beautiful.
