Eco Friendly Flower Farming
Common Farm Flowers was established in 2010 by husband and wife team, flower farmer and author Georgie Newbery, and artist Fabrizio Bocca. We are specialist suppliers of English country flowers, grown in the UK, twelve months a year. We were at the forefront of the revival of interest in British flowers.
Our dream is that everybody in the UK should assume that they can buy exceptional quality, British grown flowers year round, that 'grown not flown flowers' should be the norm on every kitchen table in the land. We send you bouquets by post, create glorious country wedding flowers, and teach a great many workshops and day courses, and floral retreats here on our flower farm near Bruton in Somerset. Common Farm Flowers is an oasis of flowers in a flat-out-busy world.
Our flowers are all grown in the UK, mostly on our Somerset flower farm. This means they are fresher by days than flowers flown in from abroad. In the summer, our flower fields hum with bees and butterflies: in the winter we watch charms of goldfinches feeding on the seed heads we leave for them.
Our ethos is this: Feed the invertebrates and the rest of the food chain will feed itself.
