How do we plan what and how much to cut for a wedding we’re creating? Join Georgie Newbery on this online workshop and find out the answers to these questions and more.
Georgie will go through working out stem counts, creating a time plan, how to cut and when to cut for a Saturday wedding, how long to give the flowers to condition, and how to plan transport and installation. What order should you cut, what are the indispensable tools you’ll need?
This is the perfect session for both people planning to do their own wedding flowers, and farmer florists who are beginning to find a market for their flowers at weddings and events and would like top tips from someone who’s been cutting and designing with their own back yard farmed flowers for ten years.
This workshop will run for an hour and a half and costs £75 per person with a maximum of fifteen students.
There will be plenty of time for questions, and afterwards you will be sent a link to the talk so that you can review bits you may want to focus on again. There will be physical notes sent out too with a list of the top tips we mention throughout the session.
Most of our flowers and foliage are grown on our flower farm in Somerset. During some of the winter months we order flowers from our flower farming friends in other parts of the country. We only ever use British grown flowers. Our flowers are cut from the farm fresh each morning, before being arranged and sent for next day delivery.
Because our flowers are picked fresh each day, each of our bouquets is totally unique. Although we can't guarantee a particular flower or colour scheme in your bouquet please let us know if you have any particular requests and we will do our best to meet them. We promise that your bouquet will be fresh and beautiful.
