Festive Demos online with Georgie
Our online festive demos take place next week, starting on Monday (17th November).
Also, on Friday next week (21st November at 5pm), Georgie will be doing a live chat, here on Substack, which is open to all subscribers. The theme will be Christmas gifting for gardeners, flower farmers and florists and she will be coming live from the Niwaki store in London! So do join us for that at 5pm on Friday if you can - you’ll just need to loiter here on Substack and you’ll get a notification she’s ‘live’ and you’ll be able to join her.
Here’s what you need to know if you’d like to join in with one, two or all three of the festive demos next week:
-
Each session starts at 5pm and lasts around an hour.
-
If you can’t join live, you can still book a place and shortly after the session takes place we will send you a recording.
-
The recording is sent to everyone and can be downloaded and referred back to as often as you like.
-
You don’t need any previous experience in floristry to be able to benefit from these demos. Watch and see what Georgie does, step by step, and then you can practice in your own time.
-
All the methods shared will be sustainable.
-
Book one, two or all three demos. If booking all three demos they are available as a discounted bundle.
-
Paid subscribers, our clubbers, don’t forget to use your 10% discount code when booking your place.

Monday 17th November
The Christmas Willow Wreath Demo
Join Georgie as she demonstrates exactly how to make the perfect willow wreath.
Having made willow wreaths for years, Georgie has refined the skills you’ll need to turn long stems of willow into a magical circle. Georgie uses willow from her flower farm, but you can use willow, or any good bendy sticks you can forage from your own growing space. Once the beautiful circle is made Georgie shows you how to make a garland which will turn your wreath into a Christmas decoration.
Watch the demo and be inspired to create your own wreath base, which can be a gorgeous circle to hang on the wall or door all year round, and then learn to make a garland which in this case will be attached to the wreath but is a skill you can use to create garlanding for your door or table any time of the year.
“Georgie’s demo was inspiring, beautiful, informative, practical, cohesive, generous, down to earth and for a complete novice wreath maker, encouraging in its step by step simplicity. Georgie herself is eminently watchable, a terrifically natural, generous teacher who will make you love a subject you thought you already loved, even more. Highly recommend anything she does, her ethos and her.”
“This is an excellent tutorial. The steps involved in making a willow wreath are clear and concise. I enjoyed it very much and am confident that I can a fun and lovely holiday willow wreath.”

The Festive Mossed Wreath Demo
Join Georgie as she shows you a clever and efficient way to make a luxurious, fully mossed wreath.
Georgie will show you how you can source and forage material from your own garden. Then, step by step, she demonstrates how to create a twig base, how to moss your base, and using no wire, how to bind in a glorious mix of stems she will have cut that day from her own garden inspiring you to go and forage from yours.
The base you make can be used again and again. The moss can be kept to be used again. The wreath you make having watched this demo will look amazing on your door throughout the winter season. And the skills you learn during this demo can be transferred to all kinds of wreaths you may be inspired to create throughout the year.
“Thank you so much for your demo on Moss Wreath Making. I’ve made lots of wreaths & yet I knew I would come away having learned something. I am a big fan. I loved that you reminded us to have fun, I loved that we could ask questions. I feel inspired, comforted and reassured!”
“Loved this demo. Georgie imparts such great knowledge on sustainability of Christmas wreaths and at the same time produces a beautiful wreath.”
