Join Flower Farmer and Florist Georgie Newbery as she shows you how to make a fabulous autumn wreath out of entirely foraged materials from her gardens at Common Farm in Somerset.

Using twigs and berries, seed heads, foliage, and dried flowers, she’ll show you how to twist together a rustic circle of twigs, and how to create a garland of goodies with which to dress it.

This is a fun autumn project designed to inspire you to go out and forage yourselves the next day, and make your own autumn door wreath.

If you want to make a wreath with Georgie as she makes hers, you’ll need about six pliable twigs or stems, at least a metre plus long each, some stems for binding, string or raffia for binding your garland, and a mix of about thirty different pieces to include in your garlanding: you could have clematis seed heads, or crab apples, or sedum, or silvery leaves… all sorts with which to make your wreath.

Or just watch Georgie create hers and be inspired to go out foraging yourself over the weekend and create your own door welcome.

The demo will take place via Zoom at 5.00pm (GMT) and last approximately one hour. We will send you the link to the Zoom meeting a couple of days before the session takes place. The session will be recorded and we will send this out to you a few days after the session - which also means the demo can be accessed if you can't attend at 5.00pm on a Friday / get interrupted / lose internet connection and so on!

Please note:

We will be in touch a few days before the workshop with your joining instructions. If you’ve not received this email 48 hours beforehand please email nicola@commonfarmflowers.com but do please first check your junk / spam items and make sure you are checking the inbox of the email address you used to book your place.

We will send recordings (and notes if applicable) of workshops within 7 days of the session taking place, but usually much sooner than this.
