November dates for your diary
We’ve had a quieter couple of weeks than normal, with a break from workshops and demos and a week off the club, due to it being the school holidays. But we are about to get ‘back to normal’, as we face the festive season head on!
Here’s how you can join Georgie in November.
Online workshops and demos
Tuesday 4th November
The Career Change Flower Farming Workshop online
Creating a flower farm and making a living from it is a dream held dear by many. Come on this online day long workshop Georgie will help turn that dream into a reality.
“I thoroughly enjoyed Georgie’s jam-packed online Career Change Flower Farming workshop! She provides ample information and examples from her wide experiences with flower farming and gave me some great points to consider in my journey forward. Highly recommended!”
Wednesday 12th November
The Ranunculus and Anemone Demo online
Ranunculus and anemones can be notoriously fiddly to grow. Yet a spring crop of happy anemone faces, and rich, luxurious ranunculus is an amazing way to start your cut flower patch season. Join Georgie on this demo and she’ll detail all the tips and tricks which will help ensure your anemones and ranunculus are the envy of the neighbourhood.
“I’ve just done the Ranunculus & Anemone workshop with Georgie. I have explanations for the things that went wrong last year & lovely clear answers for things to do in a different way next year!”
Monday 17th November
The Christmas Willow Wreath Demo online
Join Georgie as she demonstrates exactly how to make and decorate the perfect willow wreath. Having made willow wreaths for years, Georgie has refined the skills you’ll need to turn long stems of willow into a magical circle. Georgie uses willow from her flower farm, but you can use willow, or any good bendy sticks you can forage from your own growing space. Once the beautiful circle is made Georgie shows you how to make a garland which will turn your wreath into a Christmas decoration.
“This is an excellent tutorial. The steps involved in making a willow wreath are clear and concise. I enjoyed it very much and am confident that I can have fun and make a lovely holiday willow wreath.”
Tuesday 18th November
The Festive Mossed Wreath Demo online
Join Georgie as she shows you a clever and efficient way to make a luxurious, fully mossed wreath, which is completely sustainable. She’ll show you how you can source and forage material from your own garden. Then, step by step, she demonstrates how to create a twig base, how to moss your base, and using no wire, how to bind in a glorious mix of stems she will have cut that day from her own garden inspiring you to go and forage from yours.
“Thank you so much for your demo on Moss Wreath Making. I’ve made lots of wreaths and yet I knew I would come away having learned something. I am a big fan. I loved that you reminded us to have fun, I loved that we could ask questions. I feel inspired, comforted and reassured!”
Wednesday 19th November
The Christmas Tablescape Demo online
Join Georgie for this lovely end of year session designed to inspire you to get out in your garden or down to the flower market and have some fun creating gorgeous arrangements for your Christmas season table.
