And in more detail:

Tuesday 6th, Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th October

The Flower Farming Intensive Workshop (3 days) hands on, at the farm

If you want to be REALLY spontaneous, we can still take bookings for the 3 day workshop this week but if you prefer a little more lead in time, we’ve now added the dates for 2027 to the website. Book now and pay 2026 prices. And if you’re a paid subscriber you also get 10% discount.

Much more detail on the website, but to give you an idea of what to expect this is a comprehensive 3 day workshop for flower farmers (new or more experienced) who are ready to build a more productive, profitable, and sustainable business. It covers every dimension of running a successful flower farming business: land management and growing practice, business planning and marketing, and cutting, conditioning, and floristry.

Over 3 days, you will move from the fields to the spreadsheet to the florist’s bucket, building a complete and honest picture of your business and leaving with practical strategies you can apply immediately.

This is not a course about growing pretty flowers. It is about growing a business that works: one that makes good use of your land, pays you fairly for your time, and gives you a life as well as a livelihood.

“Just completed the Flower Farming Intensive Workshop. Georgie’s wealth of knowledge and experience made the workshop invaluable. I’m beginning my flower farming journey, but my fellow ‘learners’ have developed businesses and Georgie encompassed our very diverse knowledge with consummate aplomb. I left feeling empowered with much food for thought!”

THE FLOWER FARMING INTENSIVE WORKSHOP

Tuesday 13th October

The Flower Farmer’s Year Workshop online (recorded if you can’t join live)

The single most important tool in Georgie’s flower farming practice is her diary. Without it, crops don’t get in the ground on time, bulbs don’t arrive when the beds are ready, and the season begins to slip before it’s started. In this workshop she shares that diary with you, the precise schedule she follows to ensure she always has flowers, from the first shrubs of the year to the last dahlias of autumn.

From sowing dates and bulb orders to dahlia splitting, bed preparation, and watering schedules, every stage of the growing year has its moment, and this workshop helps you map that onto your own garden or farm. Georgie answers every question, adapts to every situation, and sends you away with a plan you can actually stick to.

Practical, generous, and immediately useful: this workshop gives you the framework to stop feeling behind and start growing with confidence.

Suitable for all gardening enthusiasts and flower growers, whatever their level of experience: from first-time sowers to established growers who want a more organised and productive year.

“The Flower Farmer’s Year online workshop gave me a clear way forward to planning my growing year. Georgie has a wealth of knowledge which she generously shares. The course is filled with great advice from planning to propagating and growing. Just I what I needed to help me plan better to ensure I have flowers through to October. Highly recommended!”

THE FLOWER FARMER'S YEAR WORKSHOP

Wednesday 14th October

The Design A Cut Flower Patch Workshop online (recorded if you can’t join live)

Learn how to plan and plant a productive cut flower patch, from a courtyard filled with pots to a multi-acre growing space, in this practical online workshop.

Georgie began growing on a space not much larger than a good allotment and now farms across four patches covering acres. She knows exactly which varieties matter most, how much space each type of plant needs per square metre, and how to design a flower patch that delivers a generous, varied harvest all season long.

In this workshop she takes you through her own cut flower patches, shares sketched designs to spark your thinking, and answers every question about layout, soil, infrastructure, and planting, so that whatever your space, you leave with a plan you can act on.

Inspiring, generous, and grounded in real experience, this workshop gives you the confidence and the clarity to start creating your cut flower patch and enjoy a bounty of flowers from your own garden.

Suitable for all gardening enthusiasts and flower growers, whatever their level: from complete beginners planning their first cutting patch to experienced growers wanting to redesign or expand their growing space.

“The Cut Flower Patch workshop was absolutely brilliant. Georgie is a fountain of knowledge and I've come away feeling energised, with a clear plan in my head. The workshop covers all aspects of growing a flower patch - the things that perhaps had skipped my mind or that hadn't been talked about in the many books I've been reading. I would highly recommend, so informative and an amazing opportunity to ask questions. Thank you Georgie!”
