A 17th century still life inspired floral arrangement
Let's have some fun for Halloween cutting all the good stuff from the garden which tells a story. Let's actively look for imperfection, for squashed berries, battered leaves, flowers which won't last, and tell a floral story for Halloween in the form of a still life, or nature morte. After all, as gardeners we know as well as anyone that there is no greater truth than that we are all compost and no matter how bright our flowers may glow at the height of summer, to become earth again is an inevitable truth.
