Aspiring, new or experienced flower farmer? We've workshops for you

Most of our workshops and demos are aimed at anyone who loves to grow and arrange flowers, whether for pleasure or profit, but a handful of our workshops are very specifically aimed at flower farmers - whether you are thinking about becoming one or already flower farming.
So as we look ahead to the autumn, when our thoughts turn to the 2026 flower farming year, we thought it would be helpful to give an overview of what’s coming up that you might find helpful.
Not a flower farmer? Read on for a couple of workshops that can be helpful for anyone.
Career Change Flower Farming - an introduction to flower farming
For aspiring or fairly new flower farmers, our Career Change Flower Farming Workshop is an aspiring day.
I found Georgie’s ‘Career Change Flower Farming’ a really insightful & balanced course. I really enjoyed the mix of knowledge, support, realism, humour & encouragement. The course has given me plenty of answers to questions I had and also sent me away with further questions for myself and things to research and think about constructively. Would highly recommend."
This three part online session (which is also available in person at the farm next year) will help you consider how to grow flowers strategically and for a realistic profit, using your time effectively, so that you can enjoy earning a living doing something that you love. Lots more details about what we will cover during this workshop on the website.
"So pleased I joined Georgie's Career Change online workshop to gain her knowledge and expertise. It gave me all I needed to decide the path I want to take. Thank you Georgie - it was a 'showstopper'."
A three day intensive workshop - limited places available
Join Georgie at the farm in Somerset for our Flower Farming Intensive Workshop, which ultimately aims to help you grow your flower farming business.
We’ll cover land management and growing practice for a flower and foliage crop you can rely on, business planning and marketing, and cutting and conditioning your crop, and floristry (both important topics even if you don’t intend to do any arranging yourself). Heaps more information about the three days on the website if you’d like to find out more.
Here’s what some previous students had to say about the 3 days:
"Just completed the Flower Farming Intensive Workshop. Georgie's wealth of knowledge and experience made the workshop invaluable. I am beginning my flower farming journey, but my fellow 'learners' have developed businesses and Georgie encompassed our, very diverse, knowledge with consummate aplomb. I left feeling empowered with much food for thought... onwards and upwards!!"
"Brilliant 3 days at the farm visiting and revisiting the nuts & bolts of running a real flower farming and artisan floristry business. Good pace, enormous amounts of practical information shared and the right amount of ‘doing’ to bring home key points on organisation & budgeting of both time and resources. Plenty of individual inspiration & support. Excellent number of students in group & what a lovely bunch! Delicious no faff lunches from a local farm shop. Not my first workshop and likely not my last."
Are you charging enough for your flowers and foliage?
If you find yourself asking this question or there’s a niggle at the back of your mind that maybe you could, or should, be charging more then The Pricing Cut Flowers To Sell Workshop (online) is for you. Join Georgie for this session and she will help you think about the many things to consider when deciding wholesale prices for your flowers.
"The Pricing your Flowers to Sell was so insightful. Completely turned what I thought I should be growing and how I should be selling on its head. A great course for anyone wondering whether they can actually make a go of selling cut flowers as a business or as a hobby."
An investment in this workshop could actually see you increase your profits in the future!
And something useful for everyone….
Finally, these two workshops suit anyone - even those of you not growing flowers for sale. They will help you arrange either your year or your patch, or both - as these two workshops are available as a discounted bundle here.
