Flower farming workshops in 2026

Flower farming workshops in 2026

We offer:

  • 2 hour online workshops that suit those of us who love to grow for pleasure, as well as those growing for profit

  • A 1 day online or ‘at the farm’ workshop for those considering flower farming as a career or a sideline (or people in the early days of this)

  • A 3 day ‘at the farm’ intensive workshop for those already flower farming who want focused time on growing their business further

Read on for all the details, but do let us know if you’ve any questions about these sessions or to check which would be most appropriate for you to do if you’re not sure.

It’s also worth saying these workshops are about the ‘practicalities’ of flower farming. If you want more on other aspects of flower farming, such as sowing and growing or flower arranging, we’ve plenty on those topics too.

How to save money when booking our workshops

  1. Join the Common Farm Flowers Club by taking out a paid subscription on Substack and save 10% on website bookings. You can pay monthly (£7) or annually (works out at £5.42 a month) with no commitment. The discount is just one of the benefits of subscribing. Subscribe here. It’s easy to soon get your money back in savings when booking a workshop or two.

  2. Look out for our discounted bundles. We’ve taken some of our more popular workshops and demos, that fit really well together, and added them to ‘bundles’ which means they cost less than if you were to book the sessions individually. See all our bundles here (but they are also linked below where relevant).

The Introduction To Flower Farming Workshop online

Suitable for: anyone who is exploring the idea of turning their love of flower growing into a business (or in the early days of their business set up)

As with our online session (above), this workshop will cover all aspects of flower farming but this time you will do it hands on, at the farm in Somerset. From considering what kind of flower farmer you wish to be, to a tour of Common Farm so you can look at our plot with a critical eye and consider how to apply what you learn on your own plot, to looking at pricing, marketing and social media. We’ll also enjoy a fabulous lunch at our local farm shop.

“I really enjoyed the career change workshop at Common Farm Flowers. The day was packed with information and it was great to learn from someone like Georgie who is clearly so passionate about everything she does. I left feeling very inspired with the next steps I need to take and new avenues to explore that I hadn’t thought of.”

Also available as part of our Flower Farmer’s Workshop Bundle and also available ‘at the farm’ in March.

The Pricing Cut Flowers To Sell Workshop

Suitable for: flower growers or budding flower farmers who want to learn how to price their cut flowers confidently and profitably for sale.

Perhaps the most asked question we get is ‘what should I charge for my flowers or foliage?’. There’s no one set price list that we can all turn to. Instead, it’s important we each work out the value of our stems and charge accordingly. This online workshop will help you consider how to do this and will give you the confidence to charge appropriately. Investing in this workshop could very quickly pay for itself if this is a topic you’re finding difficult (and you aren’t alone if you are!)

“I attended Georgie’s Pricing Cut Flowers To Sell workshop and can only say how fantastic it was. It really made me consider how to do flower farming profitably. Georgie has such a down to earth manner and a great way of stripping back a concept. Thank you Georgie for making a difference!”

Also available as part of our Flower Farmer’s Workshop Bundle.

The Design A Cut Flower Patch Workshop

Suitable for: All gardening enthusiasts and students no matter what level of expertise.

Join Georgie for this 2 hour online workshop and she will talk you through all the points to consider when creating (or improving) a cut flower patch.

“Just had a fabulous session with Georgie on designing a cut flower patch - so practical and helpful. It is perfect for a complete beginner as well as experienced growers. Thank you so much.”

Also available as part of our Cut Flower Patch Bundle.

The Flower Farmer’s Year Workshop

Suitable for: all gardening enthusiasts and students no matter what level of expertise.

This is another 2 hour online workshop where Georgie will share her method for ensuring her flower farming year goes to plan and she has a season full of cut flowers.

“This was such a helpful workshop. Focusing on the entire year with an experienced and talented flower grower helped me think much more creatively about my own flower growing year. The calendar Georgie shared was a game changer for me! Even more important was Georgie’s generous sharing of her experience, her complete answers to all of our questions, and her incredible ‘can do’ spirit. The whole experience was an inspiration to me. I am very grateful.”

Also available as part of our Cut Flower Patch Bundle.

The Flower Farming Intensive Workshop (3 days) hands on, at the farm

Suitable for: people who’ve some experience of growing flowers for sale, but who want to refine their processes, strategise to optimise their time and their crop growing, make more of their land, and make sure they are taking advantage of many different possibilities for earning which flower farming offers.

Our 3 day Flower Farming Intensive Workshop ultimately aims to help you grow your flower farming business. Each day has it’s own theme. Lots of detail on the website but here’s a brief summary:

  • Day 1: land management and growing practice for a flower and foliage crop you can rely on

  • Day 2: business planning and marketing

  • Day 3: cutting and conditioning your crop, and floristry

We are happy to arrange payments by instalment for this workshop - see website for details.

“Brilliant 3 days at the farm visiting and revisiting the nuts and bolts of running a real flower farming and artisan floristry business. Good pace, enormous amounts of practical information shared and the right amount of ‘doing’ to bring home key points on organisation and budgeting of both time and resources. Plenty of individual inspiration and support. Excellent number of students in group and what a lovely bunch! Delicious no faff lunches from a local farm shop. Not my first workshop and likely not my last.”
