Somerset flower farmer and florist Georgie will take you through the best way to sow hardy annuals to give you a beautiful summer of flowers!
What compost to use, how many seeds to sow, how to prick out and pot on are some of the topics that will be covered.
This would go well with one of our other online session, 'how to design a cut flower patch'.
Georgie will tell you her preferred suppliers for seed, and compost, and give you great tips for keeping your seedlings happy.
This roughly two hour session takes place on zoom and will include plenty of time for questions. There will be a maximum of fifteen students taking part.
Participants will receive a link to a recording of the session afterwards, as well as notes on what seeds were sown and all the tips for pricking out, potting on, and good suppliers.
Please note:
When booking a workshop place, our website will force you to choose a delivery date. Please choose any random date - we will know what workshop you want to join regardless of the delivery date!
Also note that we will be in touch a few days before the workshop with your joining instructions. If you’ve not received this email 48 hours beforehand please email nicola@commonfarmflowers.com but do please first check your junk / spam items and make sure you are checking the inbox of the email address you used to book your place.
We will send recordings (and notes if applicable) of workshops within 7 days of the session taking place, but usually much sooner than this.
Most of our flowers and foliage are grown on our flower farm in Somerset. During some of the winter months we order flowers from our flower farming friends in other parts of the country. We only ever use British grown flowers. Our flowers are cut from the farm fresh each morning, before being arranged and sent for next day delivery.
Because our flowers are picked fresh each day, each of our bouquets is totally unique. Although we can't guarantee a particular flower or colour scheme in your bouquet please let us know if you have any particular requests and we will do our best to meet them. We promise that your bouquet will be fresh and beautiful.
