Using material gathered from her garden Georgie will show how to create a mossed wreath of breathtaking beauty.
It is important that we give up using floral foam in floristry, yet the foam wreath has been a stalwart in both home and pro florist’s tool kit. Georgie will show you how to make a replacement, and how to fill it with flowers, foliage and winter twiggery, which would make a wonderful tribute, but also give great pleasure hanging on a door, or dressing a winter table – perfect for Christmas!
Foraging for flowers and twigs on dark winter days, and spending an hour making a wreath is the perfect way to take a break and enjoy doing something creative. And you will end up with a lush, luxurious looking garden foraged wreath to enjoy for weeks to come. And it will be 100% biodegradable too!
If you are interested in learning how Georgie creates more Christmas decorations using foraged materials and eco floristry skills you might also like our Christmas Tablescape online demo and our Christmas Willow Wreath online demo.
You can book all three festive demos as a package - click here.
The demo will take place via Zoom at 5.00pm (GMT) and last approximately one hour. We will send you the link to the Zoom meeting a couple of days before the session takes place. We will then send out a recording of the demo a few days after the session - which also means you can enjoy this demo, even if you're not available at 5.00pm on a Friday!
Please note:
When booking a workshop place, our website will force you to choose a delivery date. Please choose any random date - we will know what workshop you want to join regardless of the delivery date!
Also note that we will be in touch a few days before the workshop with your joining instructions. If you’ve not received this email 48 hours beforehand please email nicola@commonfarmflowers.com but do please first check your junk / spam items and make sure you are checking the inbox of the email address you used to book your place.
We will send recordings (and notes if applicable) of workshops within 7 days of the session taking place, but usually much sooner than this.
Most of our flowers and foliage are grown on our flower farm in Somerset. During some of the winter months we order flowers from our flower farming friends in other parts of the country. We only ever use British grown flowers. Our flowers are cut from the farm fresh each morning, before being arranged and sent for next day delivery.
Because our flowers are picked fresh each day, each of our bouquets is totally unique. Although we can't guarantee a particular flower or colour scheme in your bouquet please let us know if you have any particular requests and we will do our best to meet them. We promise that your bouquet will be fresh and beautiful.
